Yes. Job Corps is a free, federally funded program. Eligible students receive education, career training, housing, meals, basic medical care, and support services at no cost.
Most students must be 16–24 years old, meet income eligibility requirements, and be a U.S. citizen or legal resident authorized to work.
Most Job Corps centers offer free residential housing, and many students choose to live on center. In some cases, non-residential options may be available depending on the center.
Job Corps offers career training in high-demand industries, including construction, healthcare, information technology, transportation, hospitality, and conservation-related careers at Civilian Conservation Centers.
Yes. Students can earn a high school diploma or GED while receiving career training.
Yes. Job Corps provides career placement assistance, resume help, interview preparation, and connections to employers, unions, military opportunities, and advanced training programs.
Most students complete Job Corps in 8 to 24 months, depending on their career path and educational needs.
Students receive academic support, career counseling, basic healthcare, mental health services, and life-skills training while enrolled.
Job Corps provides a structured, supportive environment with staff available to help students adjust to campus life and succeed.
Some minor legal issues may not disqualify a student. Each situation is reviewed individually during the admissions process.
